Unlike standard PIR sensors that fail to detect seated, stationary participants, the RoomSensor Pro utilizes 60GHz millimeter-wave (mmWave) radar that detects micro-movements such as breathing and typing. This guarantees accurate occupancy tracking, preventing automated room systems from releasing rooms while meetings are actively underway. Simultaneously, the sensor monitors temperature, humidity, ambient light levels, and TVOC indoor air quality, transmitting telemetry wirelessly via BLE 5.2 to Yealink RoomPanels and the Yealink Management Cloud Service. Powered by high-capacity lithium batteries with up to 4 years of life or optional USB-C, it mounts easily on ceilings or walls.
